Nick Herman is a New York-based percussionist, educator, composer and arranger. He is the founder and director of Quimbombó, a band dedicated to creatively interpreting Cuban music, and Bloco La Conga, an energetic drum, brass & dance troupe that plays Carnaval music of the Americas. He has also worked with artists such as Trey Anastasio, Nanni Assis, and Samba New York, and performed in various venues including Lincoln Center, the Rainbow Room, Good Morning America, Radio City Music Hall and Rio de Janeiro's Carnival. Nick has accompanied dance classes at various schools including Ballet Hispanico and Alvin Ailey, and has taught children at several schools in New York and New Jersey.
